“The Pixar Story” a film by Leslie Iwerks

The Pixar Story

BruceMonster and I had the fortunate opportunity to attend a screening of the documentary The Pixar Story. It’s unfortunate that this is our first post and we haven’t yet built up a reader base. If you do get a chance to check it out, it’s definitely worth it. The film was excellent! It was very informative and extremely interesting. Even being from the industry, we learned some things about the history and evolution of Pixar, and about the people who created it and built it to the amazing company it is today. A bravo to Leslie Iwerks for creating such a great documentary.

The Pixar Story contains insightful interviews from key players including John Lasseter, Ed Catmull, Steve Jobs, George Lucas, Michael Eisner, Bob Iger, Tom Hanks, Tim Allen, Billy Crystal, Brad Bird and more.

There is a screening November 8th, 2007 in San Francisco. Check out Leslie Iwerks’ site for more screening information! Leslie Iwerks Productions: The Pixar Story

And, of course, check out Pixar here: Pixar

  1. Yeah, was very inspiring, and very well done (except for the crappy editing of the reels together. 2! 2!).
